When I was a kid, I told my mom and dad I wanted to discover the world.

So one day I left, and started walking towards the horizon.

I didn’t know where I would end up.

My eyes saw infinite landscapes.

My tears added to the blue waters of the ocean.

My clothes absorbed the colored hues of the dusty deserts.

I boarded a riveted plane, and when soaring into the skies I felt so close to heaven.

I met a wise old man who filled my soul with his teachings.

His skin was full of scars and his face of wrinkles.

Mile after mile, people  filled me with feelings and memories.

This journey has no destination.

It only teaches me to see with different eyes.

A TASTE OF POETRY
