ONE  – THE STRUGGLE

She gives a sublime pleasure to my conquest.

Even when she afflicts my body and my soul.

Perhaps she is an angel disguised as a demon,

Who consumes passion

And transforms it into bliss.

TWO – A DISTANT MEMORY

I sense the smell, the flavor and the touch on my skin of this precious moment.

I see a picture that sounds like a melody and finds its perfection in the notes off-key.

Small gestures create the magic.

Your hands are at work and time is consuming them.

That smile, How how long has it been hiding your suffering?

I wish you could see with my eyes all that you were able to give.

Perhaps the love you carry is too immense for your tiny body.

I wish I could free you with a cry.

Let me stop in that moment where beyond chaos there’s silence,

And I perceive the wonder.

I want to take you on the edge of the cliff and teach you how to fly,

like you taught me how to stand up and walk.

THREE – THE WAIT

Time expands, minutes seem eternal.

If only I could switch off my brain and stop thinking.

Escape from what is about to come,

For I don’t know if it will be pleasure or pain.

I rest in stillness

And it feels like there’s a whole life unfolding before me.

I watch it like a film projected on the screen of my mind.

Every hue acquires significance,

Every feeling awakens.

The pain, the anger, the loneliness, the joy, the lightness, the Love.

For an instant I can touch the truth.

I choose to stay,

The present is bringing me a gift.

FOUR – TO WRITE

Letting the words emerge from the soul.

They dress in black and leave their imprint on white paper.

They want to be remembered.

I don’t know where they’re heading yet.

I’m seeking for the essence, everything else is unnecessary.

The unnecessary has infected humanity.

I want to be free from it.

The past is a ghost.

The future is a projection.

All I have is now, and a black pen.

FIVE – THE SURPRISE

The quest for perfection leaves no room to awe.

I can’t be perfect, because I love being surprised.

‘Till the next one!

Love,

Coxy.
